What to do if your bike gets broken or damaged.

We expect a reasonable amount of wear and tear with our subscription bikes, so don't worry about small marks and general service repairs (new cables, new tyres etc.)

However, if we suspect that the bike has been used outside of a usual child’s cycling then we may have to charge a fee for repairs. In extreme circumstances, we may have to claim back the value of the bike.

Reasons you could be charged for repairs:

  1. Damage to any part of the bike that means we have to make repairs outside of our routine maintenance
  2. Damage that affects the structural integrity or safety of the bike
  3. Damage that means the bike has to be written off

Our bikes are pretty hardy things and it is rare that we have to claim back repair costs from a member. We hope that as long as you use your judgement and common sense, this won't be something that you have to worry about.
